It is true that a company’s character is shaped over a period of time. It evolves, matures, and grows into a transformed entity after years of committed service. Montago is no different. We made a humble beginning in 2009 by starting operations from our center in Northampton. Although we started as a project delivery firm providing industry-specific solutions to UK customers, our trajectory soon took a steep rise as we started expanding our service portfolio.
The year 2009 witnessed our first foray into UK market as we established a base in Huddersfield. Earlier the same year, Montago started its offshore operations in India with regional centers in Mumbai and Pune. The ensuing two years were replete with growth stories as we moved our global headquarters to Short Hills, NJ and increased our global employee strength to 200. In these two years, we successfully formed certified partnerships with IBM, Microsoft, and Oracle.
Between 2006 and 2008, Montago realized its growth potential and acquired land at the Special Economic Zone in Pune, India. We outgrew our existing office in Pune and shifted to Pune IT Park. Our UK team moved closer to London as we shifted to our new UK headquarters in Reading. On the services front, we acquired our first customer on Liferay Portal and executed SharePoint project for leading US firms. Recognitions started to pour in as we received the prestigious Inc. 500 award for being one of the fastest growing companies in the US. Montago was declared amongst the 20 Best Employers in India by DataQuest. We also attained CMMi Level 3 status. The momentum we had gained continued to accompany us for the following years as the growth in customer acquisition accelerated and we started innovating compelling offerings for customers.
New business units were set up and a matrix organizational structure was enforced. Since 2010, we have gone full throttle into pioneering technology products for the higher education sector. In an overlap of events, Fulcrum launched products for Insurance and Healthcare sectors, which impressed the industry veterans. It was only recently that we established a 2000-seater knowledge campus in Pune, India.
Innovation and transformation have been the themes throughout Fulcrum’s history. Our journey so far is punctuated with diversification of our service and product portfolio. All these years, we continued to capitalize on evolving technology trends to benefit our clients. Today, we are driving transformation in different industry verticals and collaborating with global clients to help them become high-performance businesses.
